The Reason
why do we have to remodel so much, you ask? Well friends, let me show you. Here is the view toward our front door. Lovely carpet and brown vinyl. Here is what was lurking beneath that flooring. I make my argument against animals in the house now.
GROOOOOOSSS!!!! I think they should post that in Pets Mart! (sorry all you in-door dog lovers...I just really don't like them...just personal preference, I am sure you are very nice people....) Glad we missed that part of helping with the remodel....
EEEWWWW! I do have something against dogs in the house but we do have a cat, so I am not against all pets! The previous owner of our house had 3 dogs so I know exactly what you mean! We got some of the same surprises when we pulled up our carpet!
The lady who built and owned our house before us has dogs for the entire time she lived here. The carpet was greasy and nasty when we moved in. I think we pulled it up after two days to reveal black spots on the hard wood from the dog urine. It was really gross and pretty much solidified my dislike for dogs and their irresponsible owners. I know not all dogs pee in the house and not all dog owners are irresponsible, just seems like all the ones I know are.
We have cats and they are meticulous with their litter habits. We lived here for 5 years with no carpet to be sure that they were not going to destroy the house by spraying, etc. Two years ago I invested several thousands dollars in carpet only to have my kids trash it. Ok, well it isn't trashed but they have done more damage with chocolate milk than my animals have.
What's there to say? I'm working on my seventh house, in the fourth state in eight years. (Some of the cardboard has seen it all.) I love books, movies, friends, hoarding fabric and baking dessert if the kitchen is remotely clean. My husband is the perfect man for me and my children are too smart for my own good.

It isn't the animals it is the people who don't train them and are ok living with something that disgusting. UGH!!!! You have my sympathies.
