Diet Pepsi (ew!)

You know how at each OB visit you're asked to leave a "sample"? And if your timing is off you either have nothing to give or you're going to explode if that lady ahead of you doesn't move her tush out of the bathroom? (Let's not even go into trying to "clean catch" around an object the size of a watermelon).

Anyway. As I dropped my kids off about a month ago, I realized that I had visited the little girls room before leaving the house...and I hadn't consumed my regular pint of water. Oops. I looked in the car for my usual water bottle stash (yes, I usually have one or two floating along the floormats-just in case.) Not to be--this was Scott's car. He doesn't like things rolling around like that.

BUT he did have a can of diet pepsi--warm. Because I feel that Dr. visits are plenty long enough without having to wait around for a "sample", I ripped the tab off and chugged the entire can in about 2 minutes. While driving along a curvy road. Did I mention that I don't drink soda that often? (and that it was really warm?) and if I choose a cola it would be in this order: root beer, Dr. Pepper, Coke, Pepsi. (I can't stand Pepsi, ever since I had a drink of it when I was a kid.)

My blood pressure was a little high when they checked it 20 min. later...and the baby was kicking around like crazy. But I left my sample, by dang it!

Oh, and I belched rather frequently for the next few hours.

Pepsi makes me belch to...as opposed to burping or a polite inner mouth gas muffle. I think it shoots air into my feet where it collects then races to my throat where it sings a little as it falls out of my head.

There is something worse to me than that....Mountain Dew. Wow. One of those stinkers is like drinking a tropical flavored coffee with air mixed in.

I use them to help me "go" at the doctor's too. Otherwise I can't do it. Something about using a cup to collect a sample causes me to shrink from "going" no matter how filled I get.

Maybe I'm just wierd...

A good mail fairy visited my mailbox and left the most darling blankie and Dorothy-esque shoes. Charley has tried relentlessly to jam her feet into them and won't share the blankie with it's rightful owner.

*sigh

Thanks for the lovely gifts!!
