So. I've been highly distracted from blogging. I love to read everyone else's, but I can't seem to update mine! So much has happened, that I'm feeling a little swamped. I'll give the brief overview, and then try to pay more attention to each item. Hang on!
First, we moved across town to "house-sit" for a couple in our ward while they're on their mission in New Jersey. They'll be gone 18 months, so we'll be moving *again* next summer. Hopefully into our own house. Most of our stuff is still in boxes, as this isn't a "permanent" move.
Second, I traveled to UT to visit my little sister and her new baby. So much fun to sit around and visit and hold my new niece. I also learned how to make rhubarb pie (tangy delicious!) and appreciate Bubble Gum Aggie Ice Cream. (I have found a sort-of substitute in the Umpqua Valley Bubble Gum Ice Cream-local dairy deliciousness!)
Third, My little C man turned 4!! Yes, in all his glory, he's out of threes and into fours. He's already looking forward to 5 and going to Kindergarten.
Fourth, We finished soccer!! Yes! Our first experience with organized sports wasn't too bad. All of A's games were at the same location, and practice was behind her school, so she got to spend alot of good time at daddy's office after school. She wasn't sure if she'd play again, but despite being a head shorter than most of the kids, she played very well in her last game (great pics coming) and could run the ball down the field! Way to go, sweetie!
Fifth, Sweet A finished Kindergarten!! She won an award for being the "Accelerated Reader" of her class, and also found out that she's the youngest in her class. (Her birthday is one week before school starts.) She'll be going to a different school next year, but she loved her teacher and friends and all of the things she learned.
Sixth, I spent a week at Girls Camp helping out the stake leader. This was not tent camping, but rather in a lodge and cabins. I slept very well, thank-you.
Seventh, My darling husband got to go to UT for a four-wheeling trip with his dad, brothers and brother-in-laws. Three days of riding big, hot machines in the scorching Utah desert. (One of these days, we'll have to spend a week together, instead of all split up.)
