Lost Tooth

My sweet little girl insists on growing up. My persuasive powers are useless--I couldn't convince her that she was way too little to be losing a tooth. So, here are the gory details...if you're squeamish, don't read any further. (Serious.)

The tooth was so loose, she couldn't concentrate on anything but wiggling it-constantly.
She insisted that daddy pull it out. Being the kind, gentle, loving daddy he is, he agreed. He wrapped the dental floss around the tooth, securely knotted it.......and gave it a good tug. The floss slipped off--twice.
So, he knotted it even more firmly...
...got an even tighter grip...
...and yanked out that baby pearly white!!
OOooooh...the gory hole that sweet daughter wasn't expecting...
She was so excited to have that tooth gone!
Brother thought it was pretty cool.
Her favorite part was putting it in an envelope under her pillow for the Tooth Fairy to come and take it away. She was handily rewarded during the night. And equally gleeful to discover that the tooth next to the gaping hole is starting to wiggle.
Great.

How sad for you. Your little girl is growing up. I really hope that Hadley doesn't lose any teeth any time soon. (not likely it is bound to happen sometime) But I'm sure when she does she will be begging her dad to pull it out as well.

What a great set of pictures jen. that was so fun to read. Your kids are seriously giant. What happened? I just want them all to stay like they were in Louisville. Miss you.

Wow, she is SO BIG! I have a hard time imagining her bigger than when she sang songs with me on my living room floor. But, then again, C looks totally bizarre to me because he has hair! I really need to let go of the past . . .

ok, em totally loves the pics - she has a loose tooth and finds this post quite insightful . . . and wants to look at it over and over and over and over and over and over . . .
