You Better Watch Out!

...you better not cry,
you better not pout,
I'm telling you why! Santa Claus is coming to town!
(Although the little guy could care less...at least he didn't scream)
He sees you when you're sleeping,
He knows when you're awake!
(He even knows you want a blue camera)
He knows if you've been bad or good,
So be good for goodness sake!
(She was being so good for the picture, she forgot to ask for anything!)

Hope you've been good this year so you can get what you asked for!

Paint Chips

(No, I haven't been eating them....)

We've watched the progress of the new firestation since the summer, when the machines began clearing the dirt. It's been fun to notice what's new each time we drive by. Pad, walls, roof, shingles, windows, drive-way, etc. Most recently C commented on the paint color. I wasn't sure I'd heard correctly, so I asked him the next time we passed by.

me: What color is the new firestation?

C: (not skipping a beat) Mucus!

me: (supressing laughter) who told you that?

C: my cousin.

me: have any of your cousins seen the firestation?

C: look, it's a yucky green color, that's mucus.

I wouldn't say it's a yucky green color....but it is a blue/green/greyish color. I suppose, to a four year old, that's pretty much mucus.

The Way to a Man's Heart....

....is through his stomach. But it's a fickle kind of love.

Apparently this is true for little men too. Let me explain. (No, there is no time. Let me sum up.) My little man C refuses to eat jam with his peanut butter. He prefers honey. For almost a year and a half he has declared that he only eats "Peyton's jam"--which he must have eaten when at her house, in New Mexico. (I still don't know exactly what kind of jam Peyton uses...)

A few weeks ago he began to declare that Peyton was his girlfriend. (must be that jam!)

Then, last night, he said that Regan (a girl in 2nd grade he had just met that night) was his new girlfriend. I asked him what happened to Peyton? He said she couldn't be his girlfriend anymore because they're too far apart.

So, is he smarter to avoid the whole distance relationship, or to go after an older woman?

(my vote is still with Peyton!)

Trees

I love the smell of fresh pine at Christmas time. I love picking out a beautiful evergreen to adorn my cozy home. None of this tramping through the crisp winter hillside searching for the perfect specimin, whilst bonding as a family. We go to a lovely parking lot tree farm to choose our tree, and it still takes me an hour to decide.

But have you ever noticed that a tree grows a foot or two once you put it up in your house?

I swear that the tree wasn't that big when I picked it out at the lot. (Doesn't it look tiny on top of the suburban?) I mean, I chose one a little on the tall side since we have high ceilings this year, but I wasn't expecting it to be taller than the 8 foot ladder. Who knew?
(sorry, no follow up pic...the camera battery died and I can't find the charger...perhaps it's in a box somewhere?)

Tagged

What would Christmastime be without tags?--although usually they're gift tags. I am going along with this tag because my friend Jessie, who I've known since high school, made me laugh sooo hard with her fun stuff...and I remembered that I used to be a fun person, who laughed...alot. Funny how having three kids, one of whom is currently tiny, doesn't make me laugh so much. Esp. when he thinks he can only sleep if he's snuggled into my arms...thanks Grandma! =) So, that's one of my goals for the new year--to laugh more. I know, it's only December, but I've got to get started on my New Year's goals or they really won't happen. Sorry, I'm "bird-walking". Back to the tags.

Here are the rules:

1. Link to the person that tagged you

2. Post the rules on your blog

3. Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself

4. Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs.

5. Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

So, here are my random tidbits

1. I do not like ketchup or mayonnaise, but I love fry-sauce. Seriously. I rarely put mayo on anything, but I will use it in recipes. And it has to be Best Foods Mayo, no MiracleWhip. I also use ketchup in recipes, but never put it on anything if I have a choice. And while I will ask for no mayo on sandwiches from fast-food joints, I will eat ketchup and mustard on burgers from said establishments. I suppose it keeps the taste "special". My kids don't eat ketchup either, but I always offer it to them.

2.I enjoy Louis L'Amour books and John Wayne movies. I thank my dad for this. I call L'Amour books "brain candy" because they're a quick read, there's a few good action scenes, there's no xes, brief language (it's a western after all), the guy gets the girl (who is almost always "taller than most") if there is one, and the good guy always wins. The funny thing is, I rarely remember the title of the ones I've read. I can be half way through the book and something will be familiar, but I won't remember how it ends until I get there. I don't usually re-read books, but I can always read and enjoy a L'Amour. The John Wayne movie that I really like is McClintock! with Maureen O'Hara. Hilarious.

3.Ever since learning the order of the rainbow in 2nd grade, both in an art class and in a piano piece--Roy G. Biv (red orange yellow green blue indigo violet) I like to put things in "rainbow order". From plastic dishware to skittles to clothing, things look so lovely in the order found in nature.

My dear hubby thinks it's hilarious that I like to arrange his shirts by color. I 've tried not to become compulsive about this, as it would drive me bonkers, and so I intentionally don't put things in rainbow order most of the time. Hopefully it will keep me out of the nuthouse longer.

4.I love to quote movies. Or rather, I love to throw out funny lines from movies (aka lines I consider funny) when I think they apply. Most of the movies lines I like come from movies that aren't well known, or are a bit older. A few family favorites are: "I's a commin' with yo mint julep. I's a commin'" and "Yes, buwhanna, whatever you say, buwhanna." and "I want my two dollars!" (Hmm, notice a trend?) I could go on, but they're not as funny in print.
5. I frequently speak not only with my hands, but with sound effects also. The beauty of this is that I don't realize what I'm doing until someone (usually dear hubby) stops me and asks, "How was that again?" I've learned over the years not to repeat myself. I suppose it makes for more entertaining conversations with me...just think how much you're missing out on, having to read me in print! Getting my point across takes more effort.

6.I love the smell of napthalene, aka moth balls. When I was little, my grandparents traveled frequently and packed alot of things for storage with moth balls. I didn't know that was what I was smelling, I just thought it was how grandparents smelled. Since I loved them, I grew to love the smell. Imagine my suprise in 5th grade when we made snowglobes out of babyfood jars and used napthalene flakes for the "snow". I wondered what my grandparents smell was doing in a box of white flakes...

And there are some random quirks of myself.
If you laughed at any of my quirks, or if you recognized any of those movie lines, consider yourself tagged. You know who you are.

A Little Trip

Today I heard A trip on the last stair.

After her loud exclamation, I asked if she was okay, and what she fell on?

She replied, "The hard floor." (Thank-you, Captain Obvious.)

I asked, "Did you hurt your body?"

"No, just my ankle and arm."

And I wonder why I feel crazy sometimes.

Modesty

In helping Sweet A memorize her part for the Primary Program in two weeks, I "bird walked" into the subject of modesty. I tried to explain that part of modesty was not wearing strapless clothing.

C: What's strapless?

me: When there aren't any sleeves and...

C (interupting): Oh, [Big H] has something like that.

me (appalled): No he doesn't.

C (insistant): Yes he does--overalls.

me(silently): Well, well. Chalk one up for the kid.

Photo Op

So. If y'all aren't tired of looking at pictures of our newest addition, check out this site. My friend is a photographer and wants to start taking more baby pictures. We spent some time posing Big H so that she could practice. I think the pictures turned out amazing. Now my problem is trying to decide which one to put on my wall! Any suggestions?

Baby Face

Hi there. It's me again. I hope you aren't tired of seeing my pretty baby face. Mom wants stare at it all day long...but she has other things to do so she can't. I'm trying out different expressions to see what this face can do. Here are a few that mom has managed to get for you.
This is my relaxed calm face.
I'm usually pretty interested in things when I look like this. Mommy was interested in proving that I have a dimple in my left cheek. Heehee, I keep hiding it.
Yeah, it's true, sometimes I cry and fuss. Trying to figure out this body is hard! You'd think so too, if you were me--you've just forgotten what it was like. Good thing I'm still handsome even when my face is scrunched up.
This is my talking face. I've got lots to say, if you can listen the right way!
Okay, I love trying out faces in my sleep. This one is pretty great, don't you think? (Don't you love my dark hair and chubby baby cheeks.)

This face wouldn't make much sense without seeing the rest of me. I love a good twisty scrunchy total body stretch. Mom thinks it's cute that I curl up to stretch out.
Now that I'm getting older I get to wear things besides nightgowns and sleepers. Don't I look good in jeans? Not to mention the sweet moccasins. (Thanks Aunt Becca!) Mommy puts the frankenstein hat on me to try to scare strangers away. It hasn't worked yet, they just smile and think I'm cute. Can a guy ever grow out of that? (Should I want to?!)
Hope you enjoyed my pretty baby face!!

Early Weeks

After much anticipation, here is an update of the most darling baby boy--Big H. I know y'all want more, you should. Enjoy!

Still just a little guy grabbing daddy's finger.
At one week old; he knows it and he's proud to show it.
Beaming big brother loves to hold Big H...and after about five minutes he declares he's done and I need to get the baby.
Big sister loves to hold Big H every chance she gets. Sometimes that's the only way I can get dinner going. She's going to be a great helper!
Ah, I love baby feet! So cute and chubby. These particular specimens rarely stop moving long enough to be photographed, but they are so much fun to watch!

editor's note

Sometimes technology doesn't work to my advantage. Like our new computer equipped with Vista. Haven't been able to figure out how to compress the pictures to be able to post them. Hence the delay. I had to get the laptop from dear hubby. Took awhile.

Or...maybe I've been so sleep deprived I'm living with only half of my sub-consciousness functioning at any given time-and I switch halves frequently. What exactly is that right hand doing?

Then there's my budding photographer who likes to steal my camera and fill it with his own pictures. Doesn't leave much room for baby brother. (a sample of his work will be forthcoming).

Anyway. Hope you like the pics I've managed to get up.

What the Dr. Ordered

Imagine my joy when I pulled up at the drive-thru to collect my McDonalds lunch and was asked if I liked Dr. Pepper? Heck yeah! I scored a free 44oz. drink because the machine made an extra one. Sometimes faulty technology works to my advantage. After I burned my brain on the carbonation the rest of the afternoon was quite bubbly.

New Arrival!!

Yeah! Baby boy is here! Once he decided it was time to come, he came in a hurry. We arrived at the hospital room at 1:38 and he was born at 1:58. (No, I did not get that epidural I wanted, and yes, I got the stitches I didn't want.) Anyway. I'll spare you all the gory details. (If you really want them I'll send you an email.) We didn't get the camera out before delivery, so there are only a few pictures after we remembered. Like I said, things happened fast.
Henry Scott arrived 16 September, 2008, at 1:58 pm. 7lbs 15 oz. 20 3/4 inches.
Here he is, 3 min. old.
Close up of baby Henry.
Just the three of us...a few hours old.
Daddy and baby.
Big brother and sister hold the new baby.

We're all doing fine. Tired, but good. Thanks for all of your well wishes and prayers...they were answered!

All Quiet

...on the baby front.

yeah, still here, and one of us is constantly kicking.

I was sure that this baby was coming on Wednesday. I got myself ready (and I looked cute!) and the hospital bag, and the kids bag, and their stuff and all my lists of numbers and who to contact and had it all in the car. We went to the park and played and I even took a nap to get ready for a long, busy night. Scott was staying late, and I got the kids fed (cereal, because I didn't want to cook and clean the kitchen) and in bed. And I made pumpkin bread (so then I had to clean the kitchen) and I sat and waited. And waited. And waited. And watched mindless television programming. And with three hours left in the day, I decided that this child better NOT come. Then my sweet husband came home and I bawled in his arms as I explained my expectations of the day and the lack of results. I had even shaved my legs!!! (No small feat in a shower stall)

I spent Thursday being upset and exhausted that my unborn child had failed to make an appearance a week before his due date.

Today my doctor's office called to see if I'd come in and help them test out their new ultrasound machine. Heck yeah! Too bad they couldn't get the 3D and 4D to work. The 2D was pretty cool, though. I got to see his chubby cheeks, little nose and lips. I watched his eye open and look around, his fingers play around his face, his heart beat and lungs expand, and he even yawned. Seeing that he was healthy and active and so beautiful (only a mother can love grainy 2D photos of the unborn!) was such a sweet experience after two tough days. I'm thankful for the reassurance that all is, indeed, well. He's just waiting for the right time to come, which will be on his terms, and not mine. He knows he's got a good thing going right now, and he plans to stay as long as possible!!

Just wanted to let y'all know what was going on. We're just waiting. Who knows, the full moon is scheduled for Monday, so maybe he'll come then!

Diet Pepsi (ew!)

You know how at each OB visit you're asked to leave a "sample"? And if your timing is off you either have nothing to give or you're going to explode if that lady ahead of you doesn't move her tush out of the bathroom? (Let's not even go into trying to "clean catch" around an object the size of a watermelon).

Anyway. As I dropped my kids off about a month ago, I realized that I had visited the little girls room before leaving the house...and I hadn't consumed my regular pint of water. Oops. I looked in the car for my usual water bottle stash (yes, I usually have one or two floating along the floormats-just in case.) Not to be--this was Scott's car. He doesn't like things rolling around like that.

BUT he did have a can of diet pepsi--warm. Because I feel that Dr. visits are plenty long enough without having to wait around for a "sample", I ripped the tab off and chugged the entire can in about 2 minutes. While driving along a curvy road. Did I mention that I don't drink soda that often? (and that it was really warm?) and if I choose a cola it would be in this order: root beer, Dr. Pepper, Coke, Pepsi. (I can't stand Pepsi, ever since I had a drink of it when I was a kid.)

My blood pressure was a little high when they checked it 20 min. later...and the baby was kicking around like crazy. But I left my sample, by dang it!

Oh, and I belched rather frequently for the next few hours.

First Day of School

Sweet A was so excited for today! She was dressed before she came down the stairs, in the clothes she's been waiting for weeks to wear. She could only eat half her breakfast, and practically skipped down the driveway to meet the bus. She hopped on the bus, the driver waved, and she was gone. I turned back to the house and cried as I walked to the door.

Putting my baby on the bus for school was harder than I thought it would be. I feel like she's so small still to be doing such big things. I suppose I'll feel like this most of her life. The challenge is trusting what I've taught her and trusting her ability to make good decisions for herself, and letting her grow up. (Oh, and letting go!) I don't suppose it gets any easier with each new stage of life. I'm sure I'll be better tomorrow...or maybe next month.

(Yeah, wait for the picture, I couldn't find the camera this morning!!)

Hospital Bag

Okay. I'm down to the last few weeks, and I'm realizing that I still have a truckload of stuff to do. One of which is to pack a hospital bag, for me, dad and baby, and a bag for the kids for when we drop them off with friends.

For those of you who have managed to pack a hospital bag before heading to deliver a baby, (and who have actually used it)...I'm wondering what was your favorite item? What is the one thing that you couldn't live without during delivery...or you wish you would have had? (I know there are lists all over the internet on baby sites, but I don't think half of that gets used. So, let me know... =)

Mini Update

This past week has been crazy, and it's just going to get worse/better!?

Scott's parents came to visit. We had such a great time with them, and played hard (I know, it's a relative term) all week long. I think it's going to take another week just to recover. I'll have to find the pics to post. We really enjoyed having them, and it was hard to say good-bye this morning. We don't get family out this way very often, and it will probably be some time before we see them again. One of the hazards of moving away, I suppose.

We celebrated A's birthday (it's coming up next week), went to the coast, saw all the animals at the wildlife safari, ate alot of sugar and chocolate, didn't take afternoon "quiet time", got to bed late, played tons of cards, watched movies and deer in the backyard and had grandma read lots of stories. Daddy took most of the week off of work and we really felt like it was a vacation. (or, staycation?)

I also started swelling. Dang summer heat.

Oh, and we got a new computer. I'm hoping the vista problem doesn't send me screaming for a mac soon. We'll see.

So, there's the mini-update. More details are coming. =)

Cute Blog

Thank you Jessie!! Finally, I have a cute blog. I am not computer savvy, nor do I have any connections to people who are. I'm so happy to find some cute blog backgrounds. Check it out if you're like me!! Maybe now, y'all won't fall asleep while keeping tabs on me. =)

Bad Days

I have rotten days now and again. We all do. When I feel especially picked on, I think of this story--and I cry and laugh at the same time. I realize I'm not the only one with challenges, and it could always be worse. So, if I mention that I had a bad day, but it's not "jellyfish" bad, you'll understand.

gone...

I may be non-blogging for awhile.

The Olympics have started, and I'm hooked. I love watching athletes competing at what they do best...no matter what sport that may be. So, my attention is taken elsewhere. Sorry if you don't hear from me for awhile, but check it out for yourselves. =) I've been waiting for this all summer, so I can "slow down" and put my feet up while I watch, and cheer on Team USA!!

Happy viewing!!

(Oh, yeah, and my in-laws are coming next week, I'm hosting book-club, A's birthday is the week after, and school starts, and I need to finish a few sewing projects and a baby is coming... I'm trying to slow down from last week, when we had play-date at our house, I had a new dr. appt, a pedicure, lunch with the ladies, visited the county fair, hosted a barbecue with our friends, and baby-sat all Saturday (we traded so we could go to the temple last week), prepared sharing time and completely forgot that A had a talk in Primary! (I didn't remember until they announced her!! oops.) I'm ready to stop cleaning the kitchen and vacuuming and baking. Anyway. Typical life of a mom, eh? Never a dull moment!)

Lazy Summer Days

I've been amazed at the number of people who have pools here in Oregon. I suppose it's because there isn't a community pool, (just one at the YMCA requiring a membership) and lots of people live a few miles out (10+). We decided we needed our own pool too. Isn't it lovely? Once we got the carpet to put under it (to avoid nasty deck splinters) and filled it up, Little Man C was quite at home.

Daddy even stepped in to cool off.

But when his warning to Sweet A about not splashing went unheeded.......she got dunked under. (I think she really wanted to see if daddy was serious, heaven help me in 10 years!!)

Sometimes the kids get to play with the nozzel...they like to squirt it straight up and make showers--and rainbows.

Let's go...

...fly a kite!

The kids love flying kites in the back yard. They've gotten pretty good at it, and don't get them tangled up too often. (The grass is brown because we're too cheap to water it--no irrigation water, well, or river water here, folks.)

Hair Experiments 101

We pulled out the sponge curlers to see what would happen...

...and were quite pleased with the results. She loved her "boingy" curls and bounced all through the day just to feel them spring back to her head. When she's up to sleeping on them again we may see a repeat. Too bad they don't do that all on their own.

Third time's the charm

Sweet A lost another tooth.

She worked so hard to get it loose. I couldn't look at her while she talked because it stuck out like a snaggle tooth and she was already starting to lisp. I couldn't help laughing. Her second front tooth is preparing for the same fate...and she's starting to look snaggly again. I'm working on my poker face.

Strawberry Fields

While Scott was gone to Moab for a "Boys Weekend" --I thought it would be fun to pick strawberries with the kids. yeah. I was only 6 mo. preg. at the time, and unfortunately the day we picked was the hottest day that week. I insisted the kids use the bathroom before we left. We arrived, got some boxes, and started picking. I showed them how to choose the red shiny berries, and Sweet A got right to work. Little Man C followed behind me, complaining that I needed to pick berries for his box too. I think we were there five minutes when A looked up, saw the port-a-potty across the field and declared that she needed to go. Great. We trooped down our row, left the boxes and climbed into the green sweat-box. Needless to say, we all had to rotate through. (Even if I don't have to go in the beginning, I surely have to by the time they are through-power of suggestion, I suppose...) Now I felt really hot and sweaty with limited bending ability. We trooped back across our row to finish picking...and Little Man C decided he was done. He walked all the way to the start of the row, found a piece of plastic, sat down in the dirt and started playing/digging. Of course, he was wearing his new white shirt (despite my earlier protests) and he got completely filthy. He informed me that it was "just part of picking strawberries, Mom. You get dirty." (Hmm, yes, which is why you don't wear white...) (This pic doesn't quite capture the extent of the dirt and strawberry juice down his front)
This is the box of berries that Sweet A picked all by herself. She was such a trooper, but even she had her limits and called it quits--way before I was ready. She would stand up, wipe her forehead, and exclaim that picking berries was hard work!
Here are the seven pounds of berries we took home. I had other errands to run that afternoon, and didn't get back to them until that evening-and some had already spoiled! I did manage to make two batches of freezer jam, though, and it's the most beautiful dark red. I never knew how delicious field-ripe berries are-they literally melt in your mouth. I'd send you some for Christmas, but I don't think it would survive the trip!

self portraits

so. I realize that most of y'all aren't in a position to visit. I also realize that half the fun of having a prego friend is seeing how enormously huge they get over the course of nine months. I guess it makes it seem more real...and you realize that you're glad you're not that big!

So, here for your viewing pleasure are a few self-portraits......

Look what I found...

...in the bottom of the Cracker Jack box!

Yes. I've reached that point where my fingers swell up and I'm afraid of keeping my wedding ring on--it might stay on. I'd rather not get it stuck on my finger, so I'm now wearing my favorite cubic zirconium (or maybe just plastic) ring. It hasn't turned my finger green yet... but I'm really enjoying the huge stone--I'm estimating 1+ carat. This could be more dangerous than I realize....

Blueberries

So. I just love living where there is an abundance of fresh fruit! I've had to restrain myself this year, as I'm not really in a position (ha!) to take full advantage of nature's bounty. There are u-pick orchards and farms for cherries, peaches, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, marrionberries...and that's just what's been in season so far!

I did get to pick strawberries with the kids...I've got to find the pictures and post about that! I'm not allowing myself to the orchards at present...my balance on a ladder would be less than graceful. =) But I have overloaded on peaches-I made two pies last week. Guess who doesn't eat peach pie at my house? If you guessed three out of the four residents, you're correct!! I sent one to work with Scott, and ate one myself. (Hey, if I'm going to be gaining weight anyway, might as well enjoy it, right?!) Soooo delicious!

Some friends were going to pick blueberries, and while I couldn't go, they very generously picked a few pounds for me. We're talking ten pounds! (I seriously need an extra freezer, which Scott refuses to acquire until we have our own home. Men! We're currently using a little side-by-side fridge/freezer--not the room I crave.) Anyway. These were the biggest, fattest, bluest berries I'd seen. The taste of fresh fruit just picked is incredible! They were growing on a vine that morning and in my freezer that night. I'm dreaming of blueberry pie, muffins, and pancakes... but once again, these berries are all to myself. Sweet A might help a little. The boys probably won't. There's no accounting for some people's children's taste!

Anyway. I'm super excited for next year...and more berries!

I wish I knew how to post a you tube video here, because I would post this one. It is truly hilarious!! You'll just have to click on the link if you want to laugh hard. (If anyone could give me some tips, I'd appreciate it... then I'll post it here and you won't have to follow the link)

Let me know what you think!!

Tidbits

So, this is the view form our back door. Or the back deck. I'll have to find a pic of that sometime. Daddy is out with the kids and some friends flying a kite. Yes, there are five of them out there, and if you look close, there is a kite up in the sky, just above the white stuff. We often get deer out in the back, near the trees, along the fence, even up by the garage and around the house. Hence the reason for no plantings or gardening. Need a deer fence. Oh, yeah, and the skunks were found out there. (That's for another post.)
My Little Man loves to eat Mini-Wheats for breakfast, esp. the pink ones. Nothing like loving fiber at an early age! The thing that gets me, though, is the choice of spoon. Yes, that is a tablespoon for a 4 year old to eat cereal with. Perhaps his mouth is bigger than I realize...

(The kids love to choose their own utensils. With the house, we've inherited a hodge-podge of silverware that the children adore. They'll choose everything from a tablespoon to an itty-bitty-teeny spoon or cocktail fork, or scalloped serving spoon. They love the randomness I suppose.)

Spring Soccer

(once again, better late than never...trying to catch-up with pictures, not just words.) At the beginning of the season, she kept her hands in her pocket, refused to wear shorts, and wasn't exactly sure what to do with that ball.
This is the freezing cold, raining game that the kids put on jackets for and finished, red faced and frozen. Daddy tried to keep Sweet A warm when she was off the field. The girl has no body fat.
By the end of the season, she was into shorts, and into the game. She wasn't afraid to charge in and go after the ball. (Did I mention that she was about a head shorter than most of the other players? and half as thick?)
She got some pretty good kicks in, and even took the ball up the field a few times.
We were so proud of how she stuck with the program, even when she didn't want to. She really improved her skills and was so fast and aggressive in the last game. This may be a sign of things to come! She even said she might want to play soccer again. (Although, gymnastics and dance are somewhat more appealing at the moment.) We were excited to have a free Saturday after 8 weeks! Little brother can't wait for his turn to play!!

Birthday Boy!

(Note: This post is about a month late...but better late than never, right?) Ah, the perfect beginning to the day...helping daddy mow the lawn. Might not float all y'all's boats, but this is one fun lawn mowing machine, and the little man love to get on it every chance he gets! Besides, he's such a good helper!
Yes, the blue train cake. I think he had one last year... this one is a cupcake cake. Wilton has a set of silicone cupcakes (in lots of shapes) that you arrange in a design, then fill and bake. Then you decorate and each piece is already sliced! (great, except I'd rather throw away a wrapper than wash it out!)
Happy 4th Birthday Boy! So excited to blow his candles out.
This was the big birthday gift. He got his own bike, with training wheels, so that he doesn't have to borrow his sister's (which has the training wheels taken off).
He turned into quite the daredevil by the end of the evening, trying to ride tricky, with no hands, or not quite on his seat. My little man is growing up!! Happy Birthday.
